So, I have an announcement to make …
I started Cupcakes and Curry over a year ago to blog about my two weddings on opposite sides of the world. Truth be told, I am not that into weddings and gave the majority of the planning prowess to my mom and mother-in-law.
I recently went to my friend Sarah’s wedding in Las Vegas. It was a surprise wedding. We all landed up in Vegas for her bachelor/bachelorette party and she essentially announced, “We’re getting married tonight!” She got married in the gorgeous Sky Lofts at the MGM grand in an intimate ceremony consisting of thirty of their closest friends and family—it was perfect. It was so laid back and so them.
While I did have an amazing time at my 800-person and 250-person fetes, there was something about the intimacy of Sarah’s day that was pure magic.
That’s pretty much my two cents on getting hitched.
The big announcement is that Cupcakes and Curry is getting a facelift. With the weddings over with, I’ve decided to write about something that I am truly, deeply, and whole-heartedly passionate about—food and travel. (Clichéd a bit, I agree, who doesn’t love food and travel?) So, Danoosh (my adorable hubs) and I are going to join forces on the new and improved Cupcakes and Curry to blog about what’s cooking in our newly-wed nest, what we’ve eaten on our journeys around the globe, and all our deepest darkest food fantasies.
